Red Bird Mall was once a thriving pillar of the southern Dallas community but as time passed, the mall traffic decreased as new options began to emerge in nearby cities. The SEARS building was a key anchor store during the mall’s early years, but declined as well as new market options began to compete.

Healthcare needs and access in the southern Dallas sector has always been a challenge for the area. After many years of abandonment, a new vision was conceived by a developer to breathe new life into this building while also serving the community in a new way.

Source Building Group, Inc. served as the Construction Manager at Risk Partner for this UT Southwestern Medical Center at Redbird tenant finish-out. The scope of work for this project included clinic spaces, pharmacy and lab work area, endoscopy, infusion therapy and infusion healing garden, women’s diagnostic imaging, offices, administration area and vehicular drop off plaza with canopy.
