Joseph Lockridge Community Center

Second chances at life rarely present themselves, but this new community center offers a unique opportunity to reclaim self esteem and self worth.

Transitional housing for men who are released from prison back into society helps in several ways. In partnership with the Regional Black Contractors Association (RBCA), the Joseph Lockridge Community Complex will play a key role in this transition. Approximately 70 units will be available to men who are enrolled in training for a new job in the RBCA’s program at Dallas College which will provide the skillsets needed to reenter the workforce. The amount of self-esteem and confidence a person has increases when they have a job, so this new complex is a vital supportive piece in the process of their transition back into society.
