American Airlines Integrated Operations Center
Having a centralized location for airline operations was paramount for American Airlines moving forward.
Source Building Group, Inc. served as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) partner for the interior buildout for the new American Airlines Robert W. Baker Integrated Operations Center. The 150,000 square feet facility is a major component in the headquarters expansion project for the airlines as it houses 1,600 employees and contains all global flight operations for American Airlines and US Airways.
“Bringing everyone under one huge roof is a big undertaking. You will see people here around the clock always; 190 million customers a year, 600,000 customers a day, rely on folks here to do their jobs and do it well to get people where they need to go.” –
Robert Isom, Chief Operating Officer.
The building was designed to withstand the winds of an EF-3 tornado which can range from (165-185mph). Work included new office administration spaces, executive spaces, a state-of-the-art cafetorium and a new parking garage.
