John F. Kubala Water Treatment Plant
Like many cities across the U.S., the City of Arlington requires billions of gallons of water each year. Several outdated buildings were updated into one spacious facility.
Source Building Group, Inc. served as General Contractor for the City of Arlington’s John F. Kubala Water Treatment Plant Main Laboratory and Maintenance building’s new construction and renovation project. The new construction consisted of a 21,785 square feet single-story water treatment plant laboratory and maintenance building with masonry, metal panel cladding and standing seam metal roofing. The laboratory areas included benchtops, casework, and fume hoods. The administrative areas house offices, workspaces, training rooms and other essential facilities. The maintenance bay space contains offices, open bay areas for light work and plenty of ample storage. The renovation portion of the project consisted of 14,639 square feet of existing laboratory and administrative areas that remained in operation during construction.
